Fujifilm and Panasonic, developed Technology of organic CMOS image sensor

Fujifilm and Panasonic,
developed a technology of "organic CMOS image sensor"
that realized the performance over Panasonic conventional image sensor
by using an organic thin film having a function to convert light into electrical signals
to the light-receiving portion of image sensor.

Through the use of this technology to
such image sensor as a digital camera,
it realized further expansion of dynamic range and the sensitivity up.

No blown out highlights in bright place, allowing vivid video
in rich texture even in a dark subject.

Combining the organic thin film technology of Fujifilm
with the semiconductor device technology of Panasonic,
the organic CMOS image sensor technology
was developed jointly in both companies.

It is expected for the organic CMOS image sensor technology to be proposed
for use to a wide range of such applications as monitoring
and car-mounted camera, mobile terminal and digital camera.
