Ricoh, "RICOH THETA", new camera that can shoot 360 degrees by a single shutter

Ricoh Imaging Co., Ltd. released the image input device "RICOH THETA" that can shoot the entire celestial sphere image of 360 degrees by a single shutter clicking.


By applying the micro two ocular refractive optical system of own proprietary, it is compatible with shooting of the entire celestial sphere image including upside and down.  Provided a function of correcting the inclination automatically when shooting in a state of tilting camera.

Compact, lightweight design, dimensions 42W × 129H × 22.8Dmm, weight about 95g, giving care also to the portability

Shooting distance is about 10cm ~. Exposure control mode is in auto, exposure compensation can be adjusted in 1/3EV step between -2.0 ~ +2.0 EV.
ISO sensitivity, white balance and shutter speed are all in auto. Recording method, at JPEG (Exif Ver2.3) compliant with DCF2.0. Recording medium is equipped with a built-in memory of 4GB.
