Ricoh, "RICOH THETA" new camera capable of shooting 360-degrees

Ricoh announced "RICOH THETA (theta)" 

the image input device capable of shooting all the celestial sphere 

360 degrees with a single shot.

Features "RICOH THETA" is that it can shoot global image including top and bottom. 

It is unique that can shoot not only the subject, but the photographer himself. 

Compact size 42W × 129H × 22.8Dmm / about 95g.

Portability is high also.

In the optical system, employed newly developed 

ultra-compact twin-lens bending optical system.

It is the mechanism that the light that has passed through two 

hemispherical fish-eye lens attached to the front and 

back face-to-face passes through two prism mirrors and enters CMOS sensor.
