Equipped with a Nikon DX-format CMOS sensor 24.1 million effective pixels, 

23.5 × 15.6mm size, commonly used imaging sensitivity ranged from ISO 100 to 6400.

In the image processing engine, adopted  "EXPEED 3"

that exhibit excellent effects to color reproducibility, 

gradation processing and high sensitivity image quality.

 In AF system, adopted the newly developed advanced

 multi-CAM 3500DX autofocus sensor module. 

Capable to take a shooting in a new imaging range "1.3 × crop to DX"
