Nikon, 9 models new "COOLPIX" – such as 42x optical zoom model, toughness model

42x optical zoom–enabled "COOLPIX P520"

Equipped with NIKKOR lens 42x optical zoom to cover the shooting angle 

from wide-angle 24mm equivalent to super telephoto 1000mm equivalent

 (on 35mm format equivalent), the model with the highest zoom magnification

 in COOLPIX history. 

Number of effective pixels :18,080,000 pixels. In addition to 3.2 type Vari-angle 

TFT LCD monitor and the electronic viewfinder of 0.2-inch type LCD, 

also compatible with full HD movie recording.

Added the "ACTIVE" mode newly to lens shift method image stabilizer (VR) function, 

to reduce effectively the camera shake that tends to occur when shooting

 from outside the vehicle while driving, 

or when shooting a movie while walking.
